Enterprise Agile Coach/Program Management 

Enterprise Agile Coach to provide leadership and direction to all IT teams within the Division in support of IT Goals and Business Metrics, serving as an expert in technology delivery and multiple Agile frameworks including Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban.

Key Achievements

  • Led and coached Agile Software Development, IT Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity distributed teams on Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Lean, and technology delivery best practices to improve average delivery times from months to weeks. 

  • Planned and developed the Divisional IT Strategic Plan and 5-year strategic roadmap, saving $2M in consulting fees. 

  • Developed an Agile Metrics dashboard for the CIO organization in Power BI using Jira data, preventing $70K costs.

  • Built partnerships with Business Unit leaders and drove improvements in portfolio management and reporting.

Working with fintech and financial services clients, led IT Engineering providing compliant Banking as a Service (BaaS) B2B and B2C solutions across Payments, Lending, Prepaid, Tax, and Money Movement Business Units  with annual revenues of $500M+.

Key Achievements: 

  • Successfully planned and led the agile transformation to Scrum and Kanban resulting in increased predictability, throughput, and quality, improving reliability of delivery forecasts of initiatives from 67% to 92%. 

  • Built relationships with Product Management and all Line of Business Leaders to develop the multi-year roadmap and Engineering technology strategy. 

  • Working with the C-Suite, represented IT to define the post-pandemic operating model for the company, and in turn led the transition to a fully remote “Talent Anywhere” company.

  • Scaled the organization from project to portfolio/product using LeSS and Portfolio SAFe to align teams with Business Units providing visibility to all current and future work and ability to forecast delivery timelines for a 1+ year horizon.

  • Led the standardization of Payments partner implementations reducing delivery times from months to days.

  • Drove the modernization of the Tax platform from monolith to Domain-based event driven microservices.

  • Built a DevOps team to increase automation, implementing automated builds and deployments, reduced cycle time of releases from monthly to daily.

  • Conducted recurring Agile maturity assessments and provided coaching to help teams increase value delivery.

  • Partnering with the Sales and Service Delivery Team, created dedicated teams for large client implementations resulting in significant improvements in delivery predictability. 

  • Analyzed Customs Development processes and designed, implemented, and coached Kanban and Lean processes to improve throughput reducing cycle time by 60%, coached all teams on continuous improvements.

  • Built a DevOps Team to manage reporting of agile metrics using data from Jira and Salesforce and provide tooling support to the Development teams.

Collaborating with Product Management and Sales on GTM and Customer Experience, responsible for technology strategy and solutions for a highly regulated real-time prepaid card transaction processing SaaS platform and consumer websites delivering $55M annual revenue.

Key Achievements:

  • Successfully planned and implemented a full end-to-end transformation from Waterfall to Agile forming 16 Scrum Teams and 6 Kanban distributed teams (onshore/offshore) which resulted in a 300% improvement in project delivery times and an 80% reduction in defects.

  • Created a dedicated Kanban team for standard Prepaid program implementations, increasing visibility, predictability with a significant reduction in delivery time.

  • First IT Leader to establish a line of business IT Security team to manage audits, security testing and vulnerability remediation.  Eliminated all OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities from a code base of over 15 million lines of code.

  • Drove the vision and execution for several infrastructure improvements including elimination and consolidation of servers resulting in an annual reduction of over $2M in data center charges.

  • Trained, coached and mentored Scrum Masters and acted as Agile SME to the organization and teams.
